Duties
- Manage the daily operations and staff of the service branch (location) with full P&L responsibility.
- Promote safe work practices at branch and on work sites based on company and safety handbook guidelines
- Lead your field and operations team to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards, resulting in high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain and grow market share within your assigned geographic area working with neighboring branches.
- Review your team’s open service work orders regularly. Complete service work orders proficiently and in a timely manner, with a low call back percentage and minimal non-billable field labor.
- Partner with your branch’s assigned Account Managers and Service Coordinators to demonstrate proactive customer service, regular customer communication and support.
- Partner with Director of Operations, Human Resources, and Corporate Trainer/Safety Coordinator to hire, train, and retain top talent.
- Ensure that all team members understand the goals of the company, contribute solutions, and demonstrate a high level of engagement.
- Work directly with corporate departments to ensure excellent/positive communication within your region.
- Hold monthly staff meetings to review company policies and procedures, provide team training, and promote a positive, team-oriented environment.
- Manage fleet and equipment maintenance for branch vehicles and other company assets to maintain proper operation and extend life.
- Obtain and maintain training/certifications for team members as required to keep current with manufacturer and company certifications and standards.
- Maintain proper inventory on trucks and warehouse per standards set by corporate logistics team. Provide insight with customer base needs
- Conduct driver exams for branch employees operating a company vehicle. Continued monitoring of safe driving habits of reports
- Documenting and address personnel issues through performance improvement plans and/or write-ups, getting Human Resources involved when necessary.
Tasks
- Review and approval of weekly staff payroll.
- Quarterly truck inspections, ensuring safety and inventory requirements. Monitor and remove excess stock
- Maintain trucks and company assets per fleet guidelines
- Conduct employee reviews per company schedule and as deemed necessary.
- Monitor and approve staff’s company credit card usage to be following company policies and procedures.
- Visit job sites and assist field technicians with escalated service issues.
- Maintain a safe and clean office/warehouse environment.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor or Technical Degree preferred, but not necessary.
- Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of P&L.
- Prior experience and knowledge in commercial food service equipment repair, maintenance, and installation.
- Multi-unit restaurant management or technical field operations management experience.
- Comfortable building and maintaining professional relationships with customers, vendors, and business counterparts.
- Experience managing a team of employees.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in high stress situations that require strong decision-making skills.
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to work through multiple problem-solving scenarios at one time.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background checks for access to secure job sites.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must be able to work in food service environment.
