Overview

Our Fire Service Equipment Repair Technicians provide on-site equipment repairs for commercial fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and ventilation hoods and ductwork. We are seeking a customer service-oriented individual to provide our customers with maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial fire service equipment, by diagnosing issues and replacing necessary parts.

Duties

  • Install commercial ventilation hoods and ductwork.
  • Install, inspect, and maintain fire suppression systems (wet chemical and dry chemical).
  • Install, inspect, and maintain fire extinguishers.
  • Recharge and test portable fire extinguishers.
  • Inspect and repair emergency lighting.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to work occasional nights and participate in Clark Fire Protection’s on-call rotation.
  • Must be able to obtain NFPA-10, 17a and 96 certifications.
  • Must be able to read and interpret architectural and manufacture drawings.
  • Must possess strong customer relations skills.
  • Valid drivers license and a clean driving record. 
  • All technicians are subject to annual background checks, clearances, and certifications. Drug tests are administered before and periodically during employment.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work in extreme conditions (i.e.: hot, cold, dirty environment, etc.)
  • Must be able to bend, reach, and kneel.
  • Must be able to work on ladders.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
